35% of Germans hope for economic recovery after German government change

In Germany, 35% of citizens think that the country's economic conditions will get better with the new government, based on the ZDF TV channel's opinion poll "Political barometer." The survey was carried out from April 8 to 10 with 2455 participants.

An additional 19% of those surveyed anticipate a decline in the economy, whereas 44% think that the economic landscape will alter minimally with the new governing coalition.

51% of those surveyed are skeptical that the coalition established by members of the Christian Democratic Union, the Christian Social Union, and the Social Democratic Party of Germany will significantly aid in addressing the nation's issues collectively.

Seventy percent of Germans favor the proposed tightening of migration policy, while 24% are against it and 6% abstain.

Around 30% of those surveyed anticipate that the government will truly manage to execute the pledged policy modifications. 12% believe that the CDU/CSU and SDP coalition will worsen the issue with migrants, while 54% feel that the situation won't deteriorate, but the problem will persist. An additional 4% have yet to develop an opinion regarding this matter.
