iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will be replaced by two smartphones, and two more budget models will become successors of iPhone 11.
More expensive smartphones will have a new design: flat stainless steel faces and rounded corners, like the 2018 iPad Pro.
The new iPhone Pros will have three cameras on the back of the device, while the cheaper iPhones will receive two cameras. According to the publication, the “older” version of the iPhone will also receive a LiDAR scanner for augmented reality technologies, which is already used in the iPad Pro.
The display of the new devices will be slightly larger than the iPhone 11 Pro Max with a diagonal of 6.5 inches (16.5 cm). Apple is currently pondering removing the block in the upper part of the display, where the selfie camera and Face ID sensors are located, writes Bloomberg.
The new smartphones will have updated processors that will accelerate the work of programs with AI and augmented reality technologies, people who saw the device told the publication.
The company is also working on a cheaper and more compact version of the HomePod, which it plans to release in 2020, and Apple Tags, a wireless device that can help you find your keys or wallet, according to sources who saw the prototypes. Apple Tags will be sold with a leather case and keychain.
Due to the Covid-2019 pandemic, release dates for some iPhones will be delayed by several weeks, sources familiar with the company's plans told the publication. According to other interlocutors, Apple did not warn suppliers of any significant delays. Apple engineers are likely to go to China to approve the product design in May 2020, Bloomberg notes.
