Apple Intelligence was anticipated to be present on smartphones and tablets before the September release of the iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 operating systems.

The platform's introduction has been postponed, among other reasons, because of worries about its stability.

In the meanwhile, it will be available to developers this week as part of the beta testing for iPadOS 18.1 and iOS 18.1. The goal is to have iOS 18.0 finished by the end of July.

Apple releases updated iPhone models with fresh software every September. The operating system needs to be available many weeks in advance in order for the devices to be loaded on them before they are distributed to stores.

The company revealed Apple Intelligence at its June developer conference. It also stated at the time that it would include the ChatGPT chatbot into its devices later this year.
