Boeing's orders in December totalled 80 aircraft, almost a quarter less than in November.

Boeing's deliveries for the past year totaled 340 aircraft, or nearly 1.8 times less than Airbus, which delivered 611 aircraft last year. US-based Boeing delivered 38 aircraft in December after 34 in November.

Boeing produces a wide range of civil and military aircraft and develops space programs. Boeing has two major divisions: Boeing Commercial Airplanes, which builds civilian aircraft, and Integrated Defense Systems, which carries out space and military programs.
