The output of industrial robots in 2017 increased by 68.1% compared with the previous year and exceeded 130 thousand units, which is one third of the world market.

China has formed four main clusters of intellectual production, including the Yangtze River Delta, where the highest economic activity and the most rapid promotion of intellectual production are observed.

Production robots can turn China into a center for high-tech innovation, and introduction of automation in the Middle Kingdom is in full swing.

Robots are basis of the state plan of China "Made in China 2025", which involves modernization of factories to achieve a high level of automation and manufacturability. Replacing the "conveyor" workers with robots will also help the authorities compensate for the reduction in the working-age population in China.

The country is also actively acquiring high-tech companies that occupy leading positions in robotics worldwide, which significantly accelerates development of its own robot building industry. Growth of the artificial intelligence industry in China will create even greater prospects for the promotion of robotics.

China has made the development of artificial intelligence a national priority, striving to become a leader in this field by 2030.

In late January, Chinese President Xi Jinping called for deeper integration of big data and artificial intelligence into the real economy in order to stimulate the country's long-term growth.
