Várhelyi attended signing of the paperwork for the first installment of €610 million in EU financing for the Belgrade-Nis railroad on Tuesday.
In order to address the energy crisis, Serbia has also gotten €150 million, the commissioner noted.
He continued by saying that the EU is ready to provide funding for energy initiatives such as hydro, wind, and the new energy terminal in the Adriatic Sea in addition to power grids.
