Equinor itself notes that equipment issues are currently delaying the start of production at technological platform number 2. The company made no time estimates for the repairs.

According to Reuters, the second phase of the project, which started construction a month ago but has not yet achieved its full capacity of 185 thousand barrels per day, is experiencing power outages that have curtailed oil production at the field as of Wednesday.

The agency reports that the first process platform on the ground is producing 535,000 bpd continuously and routinely.
