Facebook agreed to acquire a New York-based startup developing software for controlling computers using thought, Bloomberg said, citing sources. According to them, the deal will cost Facebook from $ 500 million to $ 1 billion.

One of the startup’s designs was a bracelet that reads signals from the human brain to the arm. This technology allows you to enter text without using a keyboard.

In early September, Facebook introduced a feature to recognize other people's faces on photos. The company claims that it will not transfer information to third parties or sell its technology.

Since 2017, this feature has been activated for a part of the audience; now, everyone can turn it on. So, the user whose image was uploaded could tag himself in, refuse or indicate that he was not in the picture. Photo upload notifications worked in most countries except Canada and the European Union, which regulate face recognition.
