According to Bloomberg, who reviewed the cabinet's strategy paper, the German government is expected to approve streamlined immigration regulations for workers from non-EU countries on Wednesday, 30 November.
The country would permit non-EU nationals who sign an employment contract with a German firm to begin working right away - they can provide documentation of their professional credentials afterwards.
The government also wants to make it simpler for young immigrants to enroll in vocational training programs there. For applicants interested in working in Germany, it intends to implement a clear-cut and unbureaucratic points system that operates, for instance, in Canada.
On November 29, German Economy Minister Robert Habeck declared, "It will be the most open immigration legislation in Europe." Habeck claims that there is a general and trained labor scarcity in Germany, a problem that the government has been ignoring recently.
