According to the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, the global economy will expand by roughly 3% over the next five years.

Georgieva spoke on the anticipated development in the global economy during a meeting at the IMF, saying, "We forecast growth of about 3% in the next five years."

The head of the fund also noted that the 3.8% medium-term prediction for global economic growth is the "weakest" in decades.
