Indonesia has filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization (WTO) regarding the EU's countervailing taxes on imports of biodiesel.

According to Indonesia, the EU's import levies on biodiesel violate various clauses of the WTO Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994.

The EU regards imports of the same commodity from other WTO members differently, according to the Indonesian side. As a result, Indonesia loses some of its benefit and wants to consult on the disagreement with the EU.
