Reels, similar in functionality to TikTok, will be available simultaneously in 50 countries at once, including the United States.
The editor will allow creating 15-second videos, adjusting the playback speed, adding music or borrowing an audio track from other videos (like the Duet feature in TikTok), as well as apply various effects.
Instagram first launched the editor in test format in Brazil in November 2019. It was called Cenas. The created videos could be published in Stories, in a special public section Top Reels, or sent to Direct.
