Friendly nations like the United States, the Republic of Korea, and Taiwan will not be affected.

Japanese authorities will impose stricter controls on the export of high-tech machinery and components used in the manufacture of semiconductors and microchips, reported the country's Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry.

There are 23 articles on the list of prohibited goods, such as UV lithography equipment and exposure equipment. Now, exporting such goods to several nations, particularly China, calls for special government approval. In the meantime, other nations and areas including the US, the Republic of Korea, and Taiwan are unaffected by the Japanese actions.

The export limitations are anticipated to have an impact on approximately ten Japanese businesses, including Tokyo Electron, the Kyodo news agency writes. The Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry believes that since just a small number of products related to advanced semiconductors are being restricted, there won't be much of an impact on enterprises.
