LG Electronics Is Shared Among Three Managers

LG Electronics (LG) announced key appointments to the company’s senior positions in order to further strengthen its position in anticipation of the new year. The three top managers will lead the one of the world’s leading corporations.

The new organizational structure LG Electronics is designed to provide each supervisor with greater autonomy and responsibility to speed up decision-making in today's rapidly changing business environment and diversified customer segments.

The company welcomed the following managers (by names): Jo Seong-jin, President and Chief Executive Officer of HomeAppliances & AirSolutions, Cho Juno, president and Chief Executive Officer of MobileCommunications, and David Jung, President and Chief Financial Officer. Acting Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company Koo Bon-joon will join the team of top managers in the parent company LG Electronics - LG Corp.

It is expected that with the new structure, each of the four companies LG - HomeEntertainment, MobileCommunications, HomeAppliance & AirSolution and VehicleComponents - will receive more autonomy and be able to quickly and decisively respond to the market conditions and business development opportunities.

In addition to the permanent leadership of LG's TV and mobile solutions, it is expected that fast-growing areas such as automotive devices, energy, IT and B2B, will accelerate the company’s further development.

David Jung’s responsibilities will also include new functions of Corporate Business Administration officer. It means he will hold under his control international sales, marketing, world production and quality management. At the time, he will proceed serving as CFO.

Executive Vice President Lee Sang-bong, Head of LG Energy Business Center, will be promoted to president and will take additional role of B2B direction’s head, overseeing all business commercial sector by LG, which include professional displays, commercial air conditioning systems and energy solutions.

All orders on appointments will come into force on 1 December 2015, and entrance upon duties will happen on January 1, 2016. The general meeting of shareholders at the beginning of 2016 will approve new public structure of the organization.
