According to the Telegraph newspaper, Zurich Insurance has declined to use its logo featuring a single letter "Z" in social media to avoid "misinterpretation" of the symbol.
"In circumstances where the letter 'Z' is shown individually and could be misunderstood, we will temporarily discontinue using it in our social media channels. We are keeping a close eye on the situation and will take appropriate action if necessary", the corporation said.
The corporate logo is a white letter "Z" on a blue background that appears on the insurer's website, among other places. Individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises, and international corporations are served by the company, which employs 56,000 people.
