The results for the individual who will follow Mr. Biden, whether it is former President Donald Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris, could have significant implications, according to the publication.

In a speech to the nation in July, Biden stated that the United States would not engage in war anywhere in the world during his presidency.

Simultaneously, the newspaper states that despite America not engaging in major ground wars like in Iraq and Afghanistan, Mr. Biden has often appeared as a leader in times of war during his time in office.

The article mentioned that during his presidency, Mr. Biden has focused on rallying public support and using military force against Russia's actions in Ukraine, backing Israel in its conflict in Gaza, and denouncing Iran and the organizations it backs.

Stephen Wertheim, a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, was quoted by The New York Times as saying that war will play a significant role in Biden's legacy.
