Due to potential health hazards, American Procter & Gamble Co. (P&G), the largest consumer products maker in the world, is voluntarily recalling approximately 8.2 million packets of Tide, Gain, Ace, and Ariel laundry pods in the United States and approximately 57,000 more packs in Canada.

Product releases for these range from September 2023 to February 2024.

According to P&G, the product's exterior packaging has a zipper closure that could open, giving kids access to the pods and perhaps causing them serious harm if they consume them.

There aren't any documented instances of this flaw causing injuries. Nevertheless, the business is aware of four incidents involving children gaining access to the pods in the United States, three of which involved eating them while the recalled items were on sale. It is unclear, though, if the swallowed capsules were from packages that were subject to the recall.

Customers will receive a refund or a replacement for any defective products from the company.
