According to the results of the ABC News debate, 43% of participants thought that Harris had performed better than Trump. However, 28% of those surveyed think that Trump prevailed in the discussion. Thirty percent of poll respondents were unsure.

Of all respondents, 41% claimed to have watched the entire debate or at least a sizable portion of it, while 22% said they had only seen a portion of it. Meanwhile, 34% of those surveyed said they hadn't watched the event.

3,378 adult Americans were polled for the poll.

Earlier on Wednesday, Trump hinted that if the organizers were prepared to uphold neutrality, he might consent to a rematch with Democratic opponent Kamala Harris. Trump feels that the ABC debate on Wednesday night was ill-organized, and that both moderators aided Harris without upholding neutrality.

The media reported that during the debate, the opposing sides traded jabs and frequently accused one another of lying.

Both Trump and Harris declared victory at the conclusion of the event.
