Shell has shuttered its Mars, Ursa, and Olympus platforms as well as its Amberjack and Mars pipelines owing to a leak at the Fourchon compressor station.

The company announced in a statement that it was working with regional authorities and mobilizing staff and tools to analyze the situation. Shell did not specify the time of resuming operation.

According to corporate statistics quoted by Reuters, the three Shell platforms produce a combined 410 thousand barrels per day.
