Tata Starbucks, a joint venture between Starbucks and Indian Tata Consumer Products, now manages 390 coffee shops in 54 Indian cities. According to a press release from Starbucks, the business intends to open one coffee shop in India every three days.
By 2028, the corporation hopes to have doubled its workforce in India to 4,600 people. It plans to grow its network of drive-in coffee shops and 24-hour outlets, as well as create branches in smaller cities and airports.
"The strategy is aimed at upskilling the local workforce, opening new coffee shops with improved service, and promoting India-grown coffee to Starbucks customers around the world," the news release reads.
