Jack Dorsey was one of Twitter’s co-founders. The service was created as an internal service for Odeo employees and was envisioned as an analog of SMS, message networks, and a website.
However, Twitter debuted as a stand-alone service in 2006. Twitter became a separate firm in the summer of that year, with Jack Dorsey as its CEO. Mr. Dorsey had already stepped aside from the role in 2008, but returned in 2015.
