Twitter warns of possible user data leak

Twitter Inc. microblogging service sent a letter to users informing about a possibility of leakage of personal data of business clients, BBC News reports.

"In an email to its customers, Twitter said other people might have access to personal information," the BBC said.

The message states that personal data includes email addresses, phone numbers and the last 4 digits of credit card numbers.

Twitter admitted that information about the accounts of some users could be stored in the browser cache. The report also said that the problem could affect companies that use Twitter’s analytic and advertising services.

American company Twitter Inc. was founded in 2006. The main product of the company is a social network for exchanging short messages. Headquartered in San Francisco, California. As of the end of 2019, the company's staff was more than 4.8 thousand people.
