Security experts have cautioned that British families ought to prepare a 72-hour "survival kit" due to potential Russian activities, according to the Daily Mail.

The experts note that "concerns over potential Russian attempts to undermine British energy pipelines mean that households ought to prepare a 72-hour 'survival kit'."

The kit must contain water, non-perishable food, medical items, a battery-powered radio, a flashlight, identification papers, and a Swiss Army knife.

The document states that the UK's dedication to achieving net-zero environmental standards has resulted in the shutdown of coal-fired power plants, increasing the nation's reliance on imported gas and electricity.

The text states that the nation imports nearly 40% of its gas from Norway, primarily via the lone Langeled pipeline, which stretches about 1,300 kilometers.

"Concerns that the Russians are organizing a sabotage mission have intensified following the recent sighting of one of Russia's Yantar vessels, which was reportedly mapping essential underwater installations in Britain's North Sea,” the paper remarked.

Safeguarding essential underwater infrastructure will be included in the government's Strategic Defense Review crafted this year by former NATO Secretary General George Robertson.
