It is stated that French President Emmanuel Macron has charged Barnier with forming a new government that brings people together by appointing him as Prime Minister.

The announcement also noted that Barnier was appointed after an exceptional round of discussions in which Macron ensured that the Prime Minister and the upcoming government would establish optimal stability in the nation.

Barnier, aged 73, is set to be the oldest Prime Minister in France's recent political history, taking over from the youngest Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, who is 35 years old, as reported by Reuters.
