The French company stated that the agreement enhances TotalEnergies's involvement in the American gas value chain.

The acquired assets are expected to yield approximately 400 million cubic feet of gas per day by 2028.

During April, TotalEnergies purchased Lewis Energy's 20% share in EOG Resources' Eagle Ford Basin venture.

TotalEnergies has secured the top spot as the leading LNG exporter in the US by producing over 10 million tonnes of LNG in 2023, thanks to its 16.6% ownership of the Cameron LNG plant in Louisiana and various long-term buying agreements.

By 2030, the company will have the ability to export 15 million tonnes of LNG annually.
