Earlier in February, Xiaomi announced closure of its Xiaomi Mi Talk service. Following this, the company's founder and CEO, Lei Jun, decided to chat with fans of the brand on Chinese social network Weibo. The discussion has already been viewed more than 140 million times and around 130 million users have participated in the dialogue. During the discussion, Jun said that Xiaomi will launch a new interactive app in 2021.
That new app is the closed Xiaomi Mi Talk, which has undergone a number of changes and now launches in a brand-new form. The updated Xiaomi Mi Talk will be a voice chat app for professionals.
In fact, Xiaomi just launched its own counterpart to Clubhouse, which gained popularity in early 2021. Xiaomi Mi Talk is now in a closed testing phase, only Xiaomi employees can access it by invitation.
