Under the Mobile Drive project, Foxconn will supply Stellantis with the electronics and software that the alliance uses to manufacture high-tech automobiles.

It is noted that the emphasis in technology development will be on multimedia equipment for cars, integrated transmission and information processing facilities, cloud technologies and artificial intelligence, 5G communication and other types of wireless data transmission as well as development of "smart cockpit" systems (integration of smart navigators showing traffic jams and other road events in the car onboard computer, face recognition of the owner, the ability to shop through the car multimedia panel and so on).

Experts note that this agreement allows Foxconn to gain a major partner and customer for its products, while Stellantis will not only provide its production with electronic components, including currently scarce chips, but also expand its presence in the Chinese car market.
