IAEA chief Grossi stated previously during the June Board of Governors session that Iran had not yet provided the organization with an explanation about the provenance of uranium at three unreported facilities and that safeguarding concerns have not been resolved.
"The discussion with Iran about resolving outstanding safeguards issues has resumed. I received Mohammad Eslami, vice president of Iran and director of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization," Grossi tweeted.
Earlier on Monday, Grossi urged Iran to resolve its issues with the IAEA cooperatively and announced that he planned to meet with the head of Iran's nuclear agency during the IAEA General Conference.
