Three oil fields of Arab Extra Light quality have been located in the Eastern Region: Jabu, Sayahid, and Ayfan. The oil reservoirs Jubaila and Unayzah-A were found in the already discovered Berri and Mazalij fields, respectively.
The Ghizlan and Araam gas fields were found in the same area, along with the Qusaiba unconventional gas reservoir located in the previously recognized Mihwaz field.
The oil fields of Nuwayr, Damda, and Qurqas were found in Rub al-Khali, featuring wells that produce Arab Medium oil. A reservoir in the Damda field also produced a flow of Arab Extra Light oil. Regarding gas, the Marzouq field revealed the Upper Jubaila, Arab-C, and Arab-D reservoirs.
