By then, it is anticipated that sales of Toyota's electric vehicles in Europe will surpass 250,000 units annually, accounting for a share of over 20% of the overall sales.

Hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fuel cell vehicles make up 71% of all sales of Toyota vehicles in the European market. By 2024, the company anticipates that this percentage will rise to 75%.

According to Toyota, the percentage of electrified cars will rise in the future, mostly due to electric cars.

"The company remains confident in the unique role of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in decarbonising the European automotive sector against the backdrop of infrastructure development and the availability of green hydrogen," Yoshihiro Nakata, the head of Toyota Motor Europe, commented.
