The company stated that it will put its attention on modernizing its operations with a focus on resource and cost effectiveness. There are plans, in particular, to alter how work is done in some areas of the organization.

As a result, Volvo said that it would eliminate 1,300 office roles at its Swedish subsidiaries, according to a statement posted on the firm's website.

It is stated that the aforementioned amount represents roughly 6% of all Swedish employees.

Volvo also stated that it would assess and cut back on the amount of consultants and services it has purchased in the upcoming months in order to cut costs and increase efficiency throughout its global operations.
