Reuters: U.S.A is considering sanctions against China

According to a U.S. source and a Taiwanese official, Washington is currently considering ideas for a potential sanctions package against China. The goal is to prevent China from attempting to invade Taiwan.

After Russia initiated the war in Ukraine in February, discussions about potential penalties against China started, but they picked more steam after China's response to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's trip to Taiwan, according to two sources.

A non-American official added that the White House is focused on bringing nations together, particularly cooperation between Europe and Asia, rather than irritating Beijing.
