According to a statement posted on the department's website by the Ministry of Economics, Switzerland's GDP increased by 0.3% in the second quarter of 2022, down from 0.5% in the first quarter.
"The Swiss economy expanded by 0.3% in Q2 2022 after growing by 0.5% the previous quarter. The economic recovery has continued as expected.
After the coronavirus controls were lifted, value creation in the services sector significantly increased. Spending by private consumers increased. Value added in manufacturing somewhat decreased," the message noted.
