- July 24th, Division of the Main Directorate of Security conducted simultaneous operations in 13 provinces of the country and detained 251 members of terrorist organizations, - reported the Prime Minister's Office of  Turkey. - Their activities are focused on training actions and attacks on security forces and our citizens. These individuals, members of the IG, the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party, the marginal left-wing groups and the organizations associated with it, pose a threat to public order.
The raid involved a total of 5 thousand policemen and special forces. Helicopters helped to coordinate their actions. Medics also were on duty in the area of the special operations.

The decision to conduct a special operation followed after IG terrorists fired the Turkish military from Syrian territory in the province of Kilis on Thursday. After that, as a retaliatory step, General Staff of Turkish Armed Forces started to relocate armored and artillery units and army special forces to the border. During the night, strikes from large-caliber small arms and tanks were delivered on the territory of Syria, controlled by IG.

In addition, in response to the attack, the Turkish army began attacking targets of Islamists in Syria.
- Three F-16 struck three IG goals in the period from 3:40 to 3:53. Laser-guided bombs were dropped at predetermined two command posts and one count of collecting. The aircraft returned to base, - says the statement of the Office of the Prime Minister of Turkey. According to unconfirmed reports, 35 IG militants were eliminated.

Why Ankara is accused in cooperation with IG

In late June, Kobani, a Kurdish town on the border with Turkey, once again became one of the hotspots of the Syrian front. IG military forces made a sudden attempt to seize it, and almost reached the goal - the attack was repelled with heavy losses, including among the civilian population. The Kurds believe that the unexpected IG blow was made possible thanks to the help of Turkey. The President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is accused of having links with Islamic radicals, by which he hoped to weaken their opponents as the Kurds and the regime of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.
